Surstr\u00f6mming (fermented fish) is famous for its distinctive aroma and flavor, but also for the sense of community and tradition that surrounds a surstr\u00f6mming gathering. At Sturehof, you will have the opportunity to experience this classic Swedish delicacy in the traditional way, served with customary accompaniments and carefully selected beverages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The celebration begins at 12:00 PM<\/strong> when a surstr\u00f6mming stand opens outside the restaurant. Passersby can purchase a classic surstr\u00f6mming sandwich on thin flatbread, served with sour cream, red onion, and potatoes, for SEK 95. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone curious to try this unique delicacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From 3:00 PM, the festivities continue on our outdoor terrace.<\/strong> Look forward to an afternoon filled with traditional food, schnapps songs, and accordion music in true surstr\u00f6mming spirit. The menu features surstr\u00f6mming served with sour cream, red onion, chives, spiced cheese, V\u00e4sterbotten cheese, soft and crisp flatbread, and almond potatoes.
